Chambers are delighted to announce that Tim Donnelly and Christopher McKee have been shortlisted in the Junior Family Barrister of the Year category at the Legal 500 Bar Awards 2026.

This recognition reflects the strength and depth of their work in family law, where both are widely regarded for their expertise in complex and sensitive cases involving children.

Tim Donnelly is a family law specialist whose practice focuses on children law. He is regularly instructed by local authorities, family members and children, both with and without children’s guardians. The core of Tim’s practice involves complex care and related proceedings in the Family Court and the High Court (Family Division), often concerning the most serious allegations, including suspicious death, factitious and induced illness, non-accidental injury and sexual abuse.

Christopher McKee is recognised in the legal directories as a leading junior who acts for local authorities and health trusts, parents, intervenors and guardians across a broad range of children cases. He has particular expertise in complex matters involving fabricated or induced illness, sexual abuse, serious non-accidental injury and cases where the cause of death is in issue. He appears regularly in the Family Division of the High Court and has also been successful in the Court of Appeal.

Both Tim and Christopher are recommended as leading juniors in the Legal 500 2026 guide.

Everyone at Chambers congratulates Tim and Christopher on this well-deserved shortlisting and wishes them the very best of luck for the final in September 2026.
