Aged Debt Clerk / Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Aged Debt Clerk / Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this position you will play a crucial role to assist in the smooth operation of our office. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement. You will be required to work in Chambers Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm.
Salary will be up to £25,000.00 per annum depending on age and experience.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and dispatching fee notes and invoices
Liaising with legal entities, professional bodies and other customers to ensure timely payment of Barrister fees
Using computer software to assist in chasing outstanding fees by email and telephone
Scanning, printing and inputting documents on to the computer system
Compiling paperwork to allow Fees Clerks to draft bills
Assist staff and members of chambers in general administrative tasks
Reception cover at lunch time and when the full time time Receptionist is on holiday or absent for any other reason
Answering telephone calls directed to you, for example fee note requests, billing queries, aged debt etc
Occasional local deliveries and collections by hand and running errands
First aid and Fire officer (after appropriate training)
Any other duty requested of you by your line manager
