Rebecca Cowell
Rebecca specialises in family law.
Rebecca accepts instructions in all areas of family however specialises in public law proceedings, both in the Family court and High Court (Family Division).
Rebecca has significant experience in representing local authorities, parents, children (either separately or through their children’s guardians) and extended family members in public law proceedings. Rebecca often represents parents and children in private law proceedings.
Despite her year of call, Rebecca has gained significant experience in complex cases including non-accidental injury, sexual abuse and inherent jurisdiction cases.
Rebecca has an ability to build a rapport with clients and is well-regarded for her client care.

Other interests
Prior to pupillage, Rebecca worked as a County Court advocate appearing before District Judges in a variety of contested civil matters including small claims, landlord and tenant disputes, possession claims, general civil applications and infant approval hearings.
During her studies, Rebecca volunteered at Kensington & Chelsea Citizens Advice Bureau, carrying out pro bono work for the victims of Grenfell Tower. In this role, she supported extremely vulnerable individuals experiencing difficult circumstances and therefore has experience in this aspect of client care.
