Ravinder Randhawa

Ravi is a specialist family practitioner and the Deputy Head of the family team. She is a tenacious and thorough advocate, who leaves no stone unturned in her presentation of the case. She is skilled in lengthy hearings with vulnerable clients who have complex needs.

Ravi has considerable experience in cases of complex expert medical evidence including allegations of fabricated illness, induced illness and serious non accidental injuries.

Ravi’s experience encompasses cases dealing with clients with complex needs, including learning difficulties and autism. Her work includes forced marriage cases, sexual abuse, reporting restrictions and international children’s cases as well as cross border financial disputes. She receives instructions in Court of Protection work and secure accommodation.

Ravi is quick to establish a rapport with vulnerable clients and ensure that a fair hearing takes place and she makes full use of technology in her preparation and presentation of case. She is well regarded by the judiciary and remains a calm presence in court.
Ravi was invited to assist a local authority in drafting its protocol on female genital mutilation cases so that a standardised approach was adopted together with a local protocol for regular police liaison.
