Laura Callaghan

Laura commenced a common law pupillage in October 2021 under the supervision of Catherine Fagan. She welcomes instructions in all areas of Chamber’s practice.

Laura has developed a keen interest in family law under the pupillage of Catherine Fagan. During her first six she has seen a variety of public and private family matters.  Laura has also seen a variety of criminal work with Stephen Constantine.

In the year preceding her pupillage, Laura worked as an employment paralegal with the non-profit North East Law Centre. Laura dealt with the full spectrum of employment matters on behalf of Claimants, ranging from initial grievances to a preliminary hearing appearance in the Employment Tribunal.

At university, Laura was awarded a place on Northumbria Universities Contribution Roll in recognition of outstanding contribution to the law school for her success in national advocacy and mooting competitions. She was also awarded a place on the honour roll for academic achievement.
