Haris Simpson

Haris commenced a family law specialist pupillage in October 2022 under the supervision of Susan Boothroyd.

Before coming to the Bar, Haris worked in child protection legal teams within north-eastern local authorities. Haris has experience of conducting complex casework through which he gained an appreciation for how a persuasive case is built from the earliest stages.

Haris formerly managed a caseload of private and public law matters and is therefore particularly well-placed to understand the burdens borne by instructing solicitors and lay clients alike.

Haris accepts instructions on behalf of any party to public and private law Children Act matters. His kind and affable manner enables him to engage a broad range of clients and tribunals.

Outside of court, Haris enjoys the performing arts and attends a variety of sporting events. He is a (no longer suffering) supporter of Newcastle United FC.
