Simon Garlick
March 28, 2024
After a long and distinguished career in the law Simon Garlick will be retiring from practice at the end of March.
Simon joined Chambers in 2017 after many years practising as a solicitor at Ben Hoare Bell LLP where he had gained an excellent reputation as a specialist in health and social care law. Over the years he has appeared in a host of leading cases and his transfer to the Bar was, as expected, immediately to our mutual benefit: he thrived in practice and also led a revival of Court of Protection work in Chambers, encouraging others to gain expertise in this important specialist field. In addition to his work at the Bar Simon has been appointed as a fee paid Judge on the Mental Health Tribunal and on Disability Benefit appeals.
All members of Chambers and staff join in wishing Simon Garlick a very happy and healthy retirement.
