Dere Street are delighted to announce that Karen Lennon and Michael Cahill have been appointed as Deputy District Judges to sit on the North Eastern Circuit. The appointments are part-time and Karen and Michael will continue their busy practices in family, civil, criminal and regulatory law.

Julie was the head of our criminal team and is highly respected by her colleagues in the legal professions across the region; an outstandingly able barrister she will be an excellent addition to the local judiciary.  She is the second female appointment to the Circuit Bench from these Chambers in as many years. 

  Michael was called to the bar in 2012 and will continue in his practice alongside this appointment.”
