Judge warns that Leo George Neal is a danger to young girls
April 29, 2024
Anne Richardson recently prosecuted a multiple sex offender, Leo George Neal, at a sentence hearing last week held in York Crown Court. The Defendant had already served two prison sentences for a series of sexual offences and had also breached the sexual harm prevention order imposed on him previously.
“Your sexual urges towards children are out of control,” the Recorder of York, Judge Morris, told Neal.
He declared that Neal was “dangerous”, saying: “I do consider you pose a substantial risk of serious harm to young girls by committing similar or worse offences. That is because you cannot stop yourself. Who knows what it will progress to.”
The Defendant was made subject to an extended prison sentence of six years’ imprisonment plus three years’ extended licence. Media coverage of the matter can be found here.
