Newsflash – do you need funds for your charity?

Dere Street Barristers Charitable Trust invites applications from any charitable organisations. If you know of a project which requires financial assistance, please complete the Grant Application Form here
The Trust is a charitable fund administered by Trustees within Chambers. We are only able to consider applications from organisations that are registered as a charity in the UK. The organisation must be established for “charitable purposes” and be recognised by HMRC as an exempt charity. In order to be considered any application must be received by 4pm 14th December 2021.
Any applications received after this date will be put forward to the next meeting.
The Trusts income derives from those barristers at Dere Street Barristers who have agreed to make a percentage contribution of their income to the fund.
Over the past three years the Trust has distributed up to £50,000 each year between the following charities.

- Changing Lives (NE),
- Great North Air Ambulance Service
- Hearts of Ghana
- Junior Diabetes Research Foundation,
- Meningitis Now,
- Motor Neurone Disease Association
- Parkinsons UK,
- The People’s Kitchen,
- Reach,
- Ryedale Special Families
- St Leonard’s Hospice
- The Wilberforce Trust
- York Hospital Special Care Baby Unit
- Yorkshire Air Ambulance
- Zambezi Sunrise Trust
