Dere Street Runners take on the Yorkshire Marathon Relay to raise money for Refuge UK

Two teams of runners from Dere Street Barristers are competing in the Yorkshire Marathon Relay on Sunday to fundraise for Refuge UK.
Through our work, we regularly come into contact with the 1 in 4 vulnerable women who experience domestic abuse. Those women – and their children – are so often desperately in need of support to allow them to escape that abuse and lead safe lives away from their abuser. Refuge UK is the UK’s largest charity whose mission is to help women and children rebuild their lives, by overcoming the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse.
