Current Issues with Vibration White Finger by James Robinson
June 25, 2025
Regarding industrial disease litigation around Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, just a reminder to make sure that when you have a photograph of the affected fingers, is it sufficient to meet the Vibration White Finger as a type of secondary Raynaud’s phenomenon? In this type, blood vessels, nerves, and other tissue become damaged due to chronic vibration. Vibration White Finger causes a whitening or paleness in the fingertips. This symptom often becomes more noticeable in cold temperatures.
2 days of trial before HHJ Robinson in Middlesbrough County Court, with a supportive medical expert and proven occupational exposure, were not sufficient to convince the court.
