Richard Herrmann

Richard acts as leading, led and junior counsel alone, defending and prosecuting in all aspect of serious crime that includes:- homicides and other serious violent offences; rape and other serious sexual offences; fatal road traffic offences complex drugs and other conspiracies. He is particularly noted for his analytic skills when dealing with large complex cases involving sensitive unused material, cell site, telecoms, radio frequency, ANPR and CCTV evidence.  He is highly regarded by instructing solicitors and considered to be extremely good with his lay clients. He is meticulous in preparation and a consummate advocate.

He is a grade 4 prosecutor who is also a member of the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences panel. Richard was appointed a Recorder in crime on the North Eastern Circuit in 2023.

Led Junior defence counsel for Monika Solarska alleged to have murdered Tomasz Dembler.
