Lauren Hartley

Lauren joined chambers in 2020 having successfully completed a common law pupillage under the supervision of Elizabeth Lugg. She welcomes instructions in all areas of Family Law.

Lauren is regularly instructed to act on behalf of local authorities, parents, children and other family members across a range of hearings, including multi-day final hearings, finding of fact hearings and urgent applications.

Within her first two years’ of practice, Lauren acted in cases involving allegations of non-accidental injuries, domestic abuse, physical and sexual abuse and parental alienation in the public and private law arenas. She recently represented a client accused of numerous serious allegations of physical and sexual abuse and was successful in having the allegations dismissed. Lauren often represents parents in applications for Child Arrangements Orders to determine contact and residence and has experience in cases involving relocation of children.

Recognised for her personable character, Lauren can establish a rapport with clients with ease. She adopts a pragmatic approach to all cases and has an eye for detail.

In her spare time, Lauren can be found hiking in Scotland’s West Coast.
