Edmund Jackson
Edmund became a tenant in 2019 after successfully completing a common law pupillage under the tuition of Tim Donnelly.
Since then, Edmund maintains a small Criminal Law practice and has developed a strong Family Law practice undertaking both Public and Private Family Law work.
Edmund’s Private Family Law practice is primarily in child arrangements (contact and residence, including transfer of residence), injunctions (non-molestation/occupation orders) and Specific Issue and Prohibited Steps Orders, representing both adults, as well as children (by their guardians),
In Public Law, Edmund receives regular instructions from local authorities; instructions to represent family members; and instructions to represent children’s guardians. Edmund has a wide range of experience in multi-day contested matters in the County Court and in the Family Proceedings Court.
Edmund has a measured approach to the issue(s) at hand and is adept at explaining the often confusing legal frameworks to clients, for example, from the categories of Child Protection Plan(s), to Private Law Orders made in Care Proceedings.
Edmund also has experience in the higher courts, in applications for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards/Orders and Secure Accommodation Orders.
