Victoria Kilpatrick

Victoria specialises in Family Law, specifically Children work. She represents clients in both public and private law proceedings, at all court levels.

Victoria is a highly regarded advocate. She is regularly sought after for her forensic approach to cases and her thorough preparation. Victoria is very proactive with case management, both in and out of court, and regularly ensures that her diary allows her to represent her clients from the beginning to end of a case. She is renowned for going the extra mile, to make sure her client’s interests are best protected.

Victoria is also renowned for her client care skills, a tribute to her down to earth approach. She quickly develops an excellent rapport with her clients, both lay and professional. Victoria offers straightforward and frank advice, is always sensitive in dealing with clients, yet will always robustly represent their interests in court. Victoria is very experienced in representing vulnerable clients, in particular, those requiring an intermediary.

Victoria has been led on three occasions. Twice, she has been led by a Senior Junior in cases involving the death or catastrophic injury of children, acting on behalf of the Local Authority and the children respectively. These cases involved the most complex medical evidence and sensitive disclosure issues, meaning Victoria gained invaluable experience and as a result, providing her with an advantage when dealing with medically complex cases in her own right. Most recently, Victoria was led by Queen’s Counsel in a contested adoption.
