Rachel Kelly successfully defended a man at Newcastle Crown Court who was charged with a Section 20 and threats to kill. After a legal argument on the first day of the trial, the offence was reduced from S.20 wounding to a Section 47 assault. On day four, the defendant was found not guilty on both counts by the jury, who returned unanimous verdicts.
