Success in the Court of Appeal for Richard Herrmann and Liam O’Brien.

Richard Herrmann and Liam O’Brien have successfully appealed against a terminating ruling in the case of a defendant charged with participating in the activities of an organised crime group. They also successfully appealed an earlier evidential ruling which had prevented them from having adduced hearsay evidence upon the basis that a “proposition that the prosecution could have made efforts to secure the attendance of [the witness] ignores reality”.
