Calum McNicholas represents 16-year-old acquitted of false imprisonment and robbery at Durham Crown Court.

Following a 5-day jury trial, a 16-year-old was unanimously acquitted by the jury of false imprisonment and robbery. He was remitted back to the youth court for sentence in respect of an offence of aggravated vehicle taking.
Calum joined Dere Street Barristers in October 2023 following the successful completion of his pupillage and appears for both the prosecution and defence. Calum has been described by the Court of Appeal as a “conspicuously able and focused” advocate.
